Michigan-based Tri-Mer has introduced a flexible, cost-effective rental program for short-term production and research using its dust collectors.
Skid-mounted dust collectors are easy to set up and are supplied throughout the continental U.S. and Canada in multiple capacity ranges. Most notably, their unique design prevents conflagration at the source, so systems are ideal for applications involving volatile dusts and/or high dust loadings.
Tri-Mer rental units use time-proven Whirl/Wet collection technology and are effective for powdered, flaked and granulated products, and both soluble and insoluble particulate.
Whirl/Wet is manufactured in 100% polypropylene and steel alloys; systems operate in processing facilities throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. These systems are also used in conjunction with pneumatic conveyors and in packaging operations.
Rental systems from Tri-Mer provide consistent 95-99% collection efficiency, and can be specified for manual or semi-automatic operation. Energy generated inside the unit will not allow the system to clog under any operating conditions; therefore, the agglomeration and sticky residues that are commonplace with traditional dust collectors are not an issue.
The system is also unique in that it does not use “high-maintenance” wear parts such as spray nozzles, pumps and dust bags, or air compressors.
Whirl/Wet dust collectors have no internal moving parts, are energy-efficient, and have a CIP/self-cleaning design. Water use is low: following initial charge, water additions are only needed to compensate for evaporation and drag-out.
